Shocking is too tame to describe the words from no less than the Pope himself on Islam and on the Holy Prophet (S.A.S). You would think after all that's happened in the last 5 years since 9/11 the #1 of the Catholic church would have thought through the reaction of his words - just doesn't make sense unless there is something i'm missing in raising the fury of the Muslim world...Ian Bell of the Herald offers this interesting perspective...
Hockey season is but a month away and for a Canadian like moi it is the most exciting time - for those of you in Europe or the Indian Sub-continent you will understand when cricket or soccer season is underway - a new season and hopes for the success of your favorite team - mine is the hometown Vancouver Canucks - though they have disappointed for so many years they are like your favorite child and all shortcomings are forgiven until they run into a losing streak and then watch out...
