Telus - Why I switched to another service provider

Zee's Notes: I normally would never rant about stuff like this but I just got off the phone with a Telus rep about my Internet service which I had cancelled 2 months back to another service provider that was offering a much better rate for both Internet and Phone. At that time I had called Telus to see if they would match the rate and was told Telus would not do that - anyhow the long and short of it is that Telus has been sending me a bill for the past 2 months and so I called them to get them to reverse  the charges and lo and behold - they absolutely refused !!! I had been a loyal Telus customer for 25 years paying my bill and poor Marni (the rep) would have none of my arguments of my loyalty and the fact that there was no activity on my Internet line for the last 2 months. This went back and forth and I actually pleaded for Telus to show mercy and at least knock 50% off the bill - no dice - she wouldn't budge and now I'll be paying the bill. But I'm so pissed off at Telus that they would treat a 25 year customer like - well I felt like sh*#.

Anyhow enough of my rant - my point is that I want my Morning Chai family to know that if you get a chance to get away from Telus with a better deal on your Wireless, Phone, Internet or TV - please take it as Telus needs to treat their customers better if they want to retain them. I just wanted 50,000 Canadians to hear of my frustrations with Telus - guess what  - they just did !!!

So one of the things I'll be doing on this is to thoroughly research each one of Telus's product offerings and show you how and where to save money - i.e. to put some dollars into your pockets and take from my friend Telus.
